Our fire pits are made from mild steel and stainless steel. Our pits will weather over time and develop a rusty patina. This will not affect its use or longevity but if you like, you can clean it up with a wire brush and a spray of WD40.
The stainless grill can be cleaned with normal household cleaning products. The BBQ grills will not rust but will change colour during the cooking process.
Our fire pits have 2 main uses. Fire pit and a BBQ pit. When using the pit as a fire pit, we advise you to not use the grill as the flames will rise above the grill & cause heat distortion.
When using the pit to BBQ, only use BBQ coals or BBQ materials. Place the grill onto the pit once the BBQ pit has settled into a glow. A light spray of cooking oil with help stop any food from sticking to the grill.
All our fire pits come with a complimentary ashtray. We recommend you use the tray to collect any falling ash and to help protect the ground underneath.
